Tranational Friendship Day or Friendship Day 2020 is celebrated on the first Sunday of August every year. People celebrate this day with their friends. On this day, people party with friends and go for a walk. This day has special significance among friends. Friendship day is celebrated in many countries. It was first proposed as International Friendship Day in 1958 in Paraguay. However, it was generated from the Hallmark card by Joyce Hall in 1930. The United Nations finally declared 30 July as the official International Friendship Day. In India, however, it is usually celebrated on the first Sunday of the month of August. In 1998, Nan Annan, wife of former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, announced Winnie the Pooh as a global ambassador of friendship at the U.N.
